Who Should Join tOES?

 

The Ontario Ecotourism Society is an organization that supports ecotourists, ecotourism operators, lodge owners, guides, tourism associations, teachers, students and green minded individuals all interested in promoting responsible use of our natural and cultural tourism resources in Ontario.  Our members benefit from being able to participate in industry related discussions, along with partnering and networking opportunities.

The Benefits of Being a tOES Member

  • online ecotourism profiles, events, advocacy issues and job postings

Membership Options

 

Business/Professional ($100/yr or $425/5 yrs)
This membership is geared towards ecotourism operators and professionals operating in the province of Ontario.  Benefits specific to this membership include:  up to date information and advice for new businesses on ecotourism best practices and development, invitation to be represented at trade shows, events and the toronto green living show, online profile of your business with event and job postings, opportunities to network, showcasing and educational opportunities through our quarterly newsletters Ecotourism Ontario and Eco-Traveller Ontario.

Supporter ($250/yr)
A membership for corporate, tourism-related and/or supporting businesses (such as transportation providers, green product/service suppliers, outdoor equipment specialists, etc.).  A perfect way for a small or medium sized business to help support the growth of ecotourism in Ontario.  This membership includes a half page ad and basic listing in our Responsible Suppliers Guide, reciprocal link and logo with recognition as a tOES supporter, up to date information on ecotourism initiatives, events, projects and bio-cultural advocacy concerns, listing on tOES supporter page and feature in quarterly newsletter and the opportunity to network and offer special rates/promotions ot our tOES business and traveller members.

Traveller ($25/yr $15/student or $150/lifetime)
tOES values the support of students, teachers, ecotourism professionals and ecotourists who are all working towards building a solid foundation for ecotourism in Ontario.  This membership includes indentification of genuine ecotourism providers, access to best practices information and travel resources, access to ecotourism related travellers community, networking with like-minded travellers, up to date information on tourism products and opportunities in Ontario (including current events, advocacy issues and jobs/education in the ecotourism community)

Institution ($100/yr or $425/ yrs)
A membership for educational, government and non-government tourism-related institutions which provides the same benefits as business/professionals members and enables your organization to profile the unique ways in which you are helping to improve or grow the ecotourism community in Ontario.

Associations
Association memberships are provided by request or invitation.  These memberships are reserved for non-profit organizations or tourism/sustainable travel related organizations operating within Ontario that are working towards educating and promoting for Ontario's sustainable future.

 All members of the Ontario Ecotourism Society can join us throughout the year as part of a working committee, or annually at our AGM and have the opportunity to make a difference on issues that relate to ecotourism in Ontario.  We want to know how tOES can continue to grow to suit your needs!
